Stehanie and Brian got married on the east coast, in New Jersey. Both got dressed for the big day at their parents' homes in the Newark area, and their attendants all were present. The bride had ten bridesmaids in navy blue dresses, and the groom had ten groomsmen in black suits both bow ties – the entire wedding party looked fabulous.
After some images at each of the homes, the guys and girls met up at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, in Newark, NJ, for the ceremony. This impressive French Gothic cathedral is the fifth largest in North America, and is the size of London's Westminster Abbey.
The wedding party looked amazing against the ivory and wood interior of the cathedral, especially the bride in her lace, long sleeved wedding dress with cathedral length veil. The Catholic wedding ceremony included the traditional rites: homily, Bible readings, vows, exchange of rings, sign of peace, communion, presentation to the blessed mother, and of course, the first kiss as the newlyweds are pronounced husband and wife and return down the aisle.
After the service, we did some portraits outside the Cathedral. A group photo of all the guests in attendance, breakdowns of the wedding party and families, and portraits of the couple with the facade of Sacred Heart in the background.
A quick stop for a few portraits at a local estate, and we were off to the Westmount Country Club in Woodlands Park, New Jersey.
The wedding reception decor was extravagant and detailed, and the celebration was a blast. Dances, toasts, entertainment, and partying went on into the night and we ended the wedding coverage and the album with a dramatic close up silhouette of the newly married couple.
